PASSENGERS BECOME CHEFS AT MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT

At Milan Bergamo Airport passengers can fly to more than 130 destinations, but they can also let their fantasy and creativity take off. All that is required is a ticket for a journey taken in 2019 or to be taken by the end of the year in order to try your hand at the culinary arts and take part in the “CHEF IN AEROPORTO” initiative.

Adult passengers are invited to create a recipe inspired by the local area, one that represents the home of Milan Bergamo Airport and which uses ingredients that are predominantly from the Lombardy region. Participants have until 31 August to visit the website www.bgychef.milanbergamoairport.it, enter their personal details together with a copy of their travel document, the description of the recipe for a maximum length of 1,500 characters in Italian, and photographs up to 5 MB in size representing the steps of the method (in JPEG, GIF or PNG format).

By 20 September, an expert jury will then choose the three best recipes, and the relative participants will be invited to take part in a cooking show at the Vicook Bistrot in Milan Bergamo Airport, where they will prepare their recipe in the presence of the three-star chef Chicco Cerea. The winner’s recipe will be included for one year in the menu at the Vicook Bistrot, considered to be one of the best airport restaurants in the world.
