SACBO ATTIVA NUOVO VARCO DOGANALE ALL'AEROPORTO DI MILANO BERGAMO

All’aeroporto di Milano Bergamo è attivo da oggi il nuovo varco 1 doganale, pedonale e carraio, collocato nell’area sud-est del sedime aeroportuale nell’ultimo tratto della via Orio al Serio, in Comune di Grassobbio, dove ha sede la palazzina degli uffici direzionali SACBO.
Il varco doganale, precedentemente situato nella zona compresa tra l’aerostazione e la torre di controllo, sarà adibito unicamente ad accesso di emergenza all’area sterile del sedime aeroportuale.
Il nuovo varco doganale si pone all’avanguardia nel panorama aeroportuale italiano, grazie a livelli di sicurezza elevatissimi, connessi all’impiego di apparecchiature di Security certificate dai massimi organismi internazionali, che garantiscono il sistema di controllo degli accessi.

SACBO OBTAINS RENEWAL OF PASSENGER AND OPERATOR HEALTH CERTIFICATION

SACBO, the company managing Milan Bergamo Airport has obtained the renewal of certification from TÜV Italia for its operational and managerial activities in compliance with ISO 45001 international certification regarding occupational health and safety.

The confirmation and validation of the necessary requirements came at the end of the audit that took place from 15 to 18 February and which concerned the supplementary specifications introduced in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The renewal of ISO 45001 certification is confirmation of Milan Bergamo Airport’s attention to the health of both passengers and operators and is accompanied by the issuing of HYGIENE SYNOPSIS conformity certification for activities to combat the spreading of COVID-19, obtained on 8 July 2020 and the subject of a supervisory audit last November.

At the end of the renewal audit, TÜV Italia commented that it had encountered the utmost attention to preventative measures concerning COVID-19 and for the protection of passenger health.

It should be remembered that attention to the health of passengers at Milan Bergamo Airport and to combating the spread of COVID-19 was also the subject of the Airport Health Accreditation issued by ACI World (the International Airport Association) on 1 September 2020.

Through the granting of this certification, ACI World recognised the commitment of SACBO in prioritising health-related measures and guaranteeing a safe experience for airport passengers.

MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT JOINS THE EASYJET NETWORK

Milan Bergamo Airport joins the EasyJet airline network which will operate a daily flight to Olbia from 28 May to 23 October.

THE VOICE OF THE CUSTOMER. ACI WORLD RECOGNISES MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT

ACI World, the international airport association, has assigned a special recognition certificate to Milan Bergamo Airport as part of its “The Voice of the Customer” initiative. With this certification, ACI World recognises airports that have continued to prioritise passengers and guarantee that their needs were considered during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

ACI World has recognised the significant efforts made by Milan Bergamo Airport in collecting passenger feedback through the Airport Service Quality programme, allowing it to gather requests and understand needs.

“The Voice of the Customer" is a form of recognition that ACI World has added to its annual awards for quality in airport services in accordance with the specific programme introduced in 2006 and certifies the efforts of airports worldwide in continuously improving passenger experience.

In comparison to other Italian airports, Bergamo scores higher than average for the following variables: increasing appreciation for the pleasantness of the terminal, with particular reference to the new non-Schengen area and the new Sala Amica, ease of reaching gates and quality of information boards, politeness of airport staff, cleanliness of areas as well as the cleanliness and availability of toilets, range of shops and food outlets and availability of quality foods, airport accessibility, location of parking and value for money for parking areas.
