POBEDA AIRLINES RESUMES FLIGHTS BETWEEN BERGAMO AND MOSCOW

From Friday 26 March, Pobeda Airlines, the Russian low-cost airline that is part of the Aeroflot group, is restarting flights between Moscow Vnukovo and Milan Bergamo Airport, a route that was launched on 20 December 2015 and that was suspended as a result of the restrictive measures linked to the Covid-19 pandemic. The connection is guaranteed every Friday for an initial period, with an outlook to extending the flights schedule in accordance with the health measures in effect and the resulting demand for travel.

Pobeda utilises 189-seat Boeing 737-800 Next-Generation aircraft, and it flies to Vnukovo Airport, 23 kilometres south of the Russian capital.

The first flight from Moscow is scheduled to arrive at 12:15 pm, after which the flight back will leave Bergamo at 12:45 pm.

The connection to Moscow, which in the pre-Covid period generated 5% of the total arrivals of international visitors considering solely the Bergamo area, has always shown a high load factor. In 2017, Pobeda Airlines awarded Milan Bergamo Airport first prize as the international destination which, of all those outside Russian territory, generated the highest share of passengers leaving its Moscow Vnukovo hub.
