EUROWINGS INAUGURA IL COLLEGAMENTO TRA MILANO BERGAMO E DÜSSELDORF
L’Aeroporto di Milano Bergamo festeggia l’arrivo della compagnia aerea Eurowings, del gruppo Lufthansa, e l’aggiunta della nuova destinazione di Düsseldorf (aeroporto DUS International) al proprio network di collegamenti. Il nuovo volo, inaugurato il 4 novembre, prevede quattro frequenze settimanali (lunedì, giovedì, venerdì e domenica), a cui si aggiungeranno dal 1° febbraio 2022 i giorni di martedì e mercoledì. Oltre che offrire la comodità del volo diretto, Eurowings consente anche di fare scalo a Düsseldorf per raggiungere, tra le varie possibilità, una serie di destinazioni all’interno della Germania, con tempi di transito ridotti, come Amburgo, Berlino Brandeburgo, Dresda e Lipsia. Il volo, operato con aeromobili A319 e A320, prevede a bordo posti riservati in classe business e permette ai passeggeri di accumulare punti del programma Miles&More del gruppo Lufthansa. Ai passeggeri in partenza dall’Aeroporto di Milano Bergamo per Düsseldorf, iscritti ai programmi Status Miles&More Senator, HON circle, ai passeggeri business class e a quelli in possesso di Eurowings Credit Card Gold, Eurowings offre il servizio fast track per l’accesso rapido ai controlli di sicurezza e l’accesso alla HelloSky business lounge.

FIRST FLIGHT FROM MILAN BERGAMO TO PARIS ORLY OPERATED BY VUELING AIRLINES
The first flight from Milan Bergamo to Paris Orly takes off today at 2.20 pm. A new Vueling route that will be operational throughout the winter season with 3 frequencies per week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
The new flight further increases the connections between Italy and France and is the first of the season for Vueling from Milan Bergamo Airport.

FIRST WINTER FLIGHT FROM MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT TO SHARM EL SHEIKH
As well as marking the beginning of the winter schedules, Sunday 31 October will also see the recommencement of charter flights between Sharm el Sheikh and Milan Bergamo Airport. The first winter flight to the most popular destination on the Red Sea will be operated on behalf of the Domina Travel Tour Operator by the airline Albastar, which will be programming flights for the entire 21/22 winter season and the 2022 summer season.
The charter flight will be served by one of the five Boeing 737-800 NGs, set up with 189 seats in a single class category from the Albastar fleet, which has been running a long-term base from Milan Bergamo Airport, from where it will also begin running routes to Marsa Alam from 19 December.

THE WINTER FLIGHT SCHEDULE BRINGS NEW ROUTES TO MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT
The winter schedule, which comes into effect on Sunday 31 October 2021, will provide Milan Bergamo Airport with the widest ranging network of routes ever, with a total of 114 destinations in 39 countries. It is an offer that reflects the optimism demonstrated by the airlines, 16 of which will be operating scheduled flights from Milan Bergamo Airport during the winter season, that the recovery of air traffic currently being witnessed at the airport - with more than 70% of 2019 traffic reached so far - will continue.
A contribution to further recovery will be provided by the opening of the first 8 new routes at the beginning of the winter season. The first four will take off on Sunday 31 October, with Ryanair inaugurating flights to Düsseldorf Weeze, Helsinki and Birmingham, and easyJet opening the route to and from London Gatwick, an important hub connecting both the City and other destinations in the UK, as well as the London airport’s international network.
On 1 November, Ryanair will be introducing another two routes: Liverpool, which has always been one of the most popular destinations in the United Kingdom, and Toulouse, the Capital of the Occitane region of France and known as the Pink City for the dominant colour of the period buildings, as well as for being the home of important industrial organisations.
As well as the Ryanair flight to Stockholm Arlanda, 2 November will also see the inaugural flight for the route connecting to Paris Orly airport and operated by Vueling, further bolstering availability for the French capital offered by Milan Bergamo Airport alongside routes operated by easyJet for Paris Charles de Gaulle and Ryanair for Paris Beauvais.
Another new feature of the winter season from Milan Bergamo Airport is the arrival of Eurowings, which from 4 November will be providing connections to the main airport of Düsseldorf, the hub of the Lufthansa group to which the airline belongs. One of the main destinations in the economic and financial world, Düsseldorf has also been re-discovered as a city-break destination.
The next important date is 3 December, with the opening of Ryanair flights to Banja Luka, the welcoming monumental city in Bosnia Herzegovina situated 159 km from Sarajevo.
5 January 2022 will see the debut at Milan Bergamo Airport of the new Norwegian airline Flyr, which will be operating the route connecting to Oslo-Gardermoen airport.

THE NORWEGIAN FLYR IS THE SIXTEENTH AIRLINE TO FLY FROM MILAN BERGAMO AIRPORT
Milan Bergamo airport is preparing to welcome another new airline. Its name is Flyr, a Norwegian airline that operates with a fleet of three 189-seat Boeing 737-800s and has its main base at Oslo-Gardermoen airport, from where it will begin flying to and from Milan Bergamo airport from 5 January 2022.
The new route, which is in response to the growing demand for flights to and from Norway, sees two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays, for the entire winter season. Tickets are already on sale from the airline’s website www.flyr.com.
With the arrival of Flyr, which joins the new arrivals easyJet, Eurowings and Vueling, the network for the 2021/2022 winter schedule from Milan Bergamo airport includes 16 airlines for a total of 122 routes to 114 destinations in 39 countries.
