Milan Bergamo Airport has a new transit area for passenger arriving from Schengen destinations (Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Holland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Hungary) and departing to any destination both Schengen or non-Schengen. If you already have a boarding pass for your next flight and you only have hand luggage, you just need to follow the sign that will guide you along the way directly to the boarding area without having to go through security checks again. The Schengen self-connection path can be used, in addition to the conditions already mentioned,only if the second flight departs on the same day as the previous one.
