TRANSAVIA INAUGURATES FLIGHTS CONNECTING ROTTERDAM AND MILAN BERGAMO

Milan Bergamo Airport has welcomed the first flight arriving from Rotterdam, operated by the Transavia airline. The B737-700 operated by the low-cost airline belonging to the Air FranceKLM Group landed at 4:00 p.m. local time and was greeted with the traditional welcome water arch by the Orio al Serio Fire Brigade Division. Giacomo Cattaneo, Director of Commercial Aviation at SACBO, and Thijmen Van Schaik, Area Manager of Transavia, were present at the arrival of the new route’s inaugural flight. The route between Rotterdam and Milan Bergamo is operated by a B737-700 aircraft with 149 seats in single class, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. From 1 July to 26 August, a flight on Fridays will also be run. Transavia returns to flights at Milan Bergamo airport, where it had offered connections during the 2000s up until early 2009. Rotterdam is a totally new destination added to the network of scheduled flights offered by Milan Bergamo.
