SACBO OBTAINS RENEWAL OF PASSENGER AND OPERATOR HEALTH CERTIFICATION

SACBO, the company managing Milan Bergamo Airport has obtained the renewal of certification from TÜV Italia for its operational and managerial activities in compliance with ISO 45001 international certification regarding occupational health and safety.

The confirmation and validation of the necessary requirements came at the end of the audit that took place from 15 to 18 February and which concerned the supplementary specifications introduced in 2020 in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The renewal of ISO 45001 certification is confirmation of Milan Bergamo Airport’s attention to the health of both passengers and operators and is accompanied by the issuing of HYGIENE SYNOPSIS conformity certification for activities to combat the spreading of COVID-19, obtained on 8 July 2020 and the subject of a supervisory audit last November.

At the end of the renewal audit, TÜV Italia commented that it had encountered the utmost attention to preventative measures concerning COVID-19 and for the protection of passenger health.

It should be remembered that attention to the health of passengers at Milan Bergamo Airport and to combating the spread of COVID-19 was also the subject of the Airport Health Accreditation issued by ACI World (the International Airport Association) on 1 September 2020.

Through the granting of this certification, ACI World recognised the commitment of SACBO in prioritising health-related measures and guaranteeing a safe experience for airport passengers.
