VOLOTEA ANNOUNCES SUPPLEMENTARY FLIGHTS ON THE MILAN BERGAMO-OLBIA ROUTE

Volotea, the low-cost airline that connects medium and small destinations in Europe, is investing in Milan Bergamo Airport, increasing the frequency of flights to Olbia. In the summer period, there will be additional flights to easily and directly reach the Costa Smeralda. This route will see the number of weekly flights increase from 5 to 9, offering an even higher number of tickets for those wanting to travel to one of the most beautiful and desirable destinations in the Mediterranean. There are 5 destinations served by the airline from Milan Bergamo Airport: Lampedusa, Pantelleria and Olbia in Italy, and Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia.

“In preparation for the summer peak in traffic, we are further strengthening our offer of flights departing from Milan Bergamo Airport” – stated Valeria Rebasti, Commercial Country Manager Volotea Italy & South-eastern Europe. “Thanks to the additional flights programmed, we are making it ever easier to travel between Lombardy and Sardinia, increasing our flights from the airport by over 60% in July and August. For the next few months, in fact, we will be offering 22,000 tickets, equal to a total of 160 flights”.

“We are delighted to see not only the return of the traditional summer destinations operated by Volotea, but also the decision to increase the number of flights from Milan Bergamo to Olbia” – declared Giacomo Cattaneo, the Director of Aviation for SACBO. “This is confirmation of how the most important and significantly strategic market in Northern Italy, that is the area between Milan and the provinces in the East, offers considerable potential for growth for our airline partners”.

All of the routes to and from Milan Bergamo Airport are available on the website www.volotea.com, from travel agents, or by calling the Volotea call centre on 895 895 44 04.
